You, Too, Can Get Bin Laden

  1. christophereger
Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was placed on the (FBI) lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Africa. After the September 11 attacks under his hand, he catapulted to the top of the list and held a $50-million bounty on his head. Ten years later, on May 2, 2011, a team of heroic US military special operations personnel ended his life (but did not collect the reward!) in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

For the past decade, he has been a particular object of scorn for the American population at large. While not all of us could have been in Abbottabad, there are any number of ways you can get OBL on your own.

    Paper Targets
There are literally dozens of companies selling paper Osama bin Laden targets. A quick Google search will find any number of hits Some of the most popular include full profile OBL holding an AK-47, mug shot OBL, pistol pointing OBL, and the ever popular smiling OBL--guaranteed to put a grin on the face of every range safety officer. For those who want something a little on the inexpensive side, Shooters Plus even offers a free OBL target download that you can print out and use as you please.

    Zombie Terrorists?

Zombie Industries of Poway, California sells a line of tactical bleeding zombie targets. These life-sized three-dimensional tactical mannequins actually bleed when you shoot them. The neat thing about these is that they are reusable even after the 'blood' seeps out and can take a thousand rounds or more before they are totally junk. One of their most popular targets of this type of course is the bleeding "Terrorist" model. It costs about $80 but the payback is worth it.

    The Sealed Mindset

In New Hope, Minnesota the Sealed Mindset gun range has run a two-hour role-playing simulation three nights a week for the past four months. The simulation includes some tactical training in room clearing and team movements from a former Navy Seal with CENTCOM experience, a crash course in an AR-style airsoft gun, and a mission brief for a warm-up. The mission itself: a recreation of Operation Neptune Spear, the codename for the assault on the Osama bin Laden compound. For $325, you get to chase faux AQ terrorists around the Minnesota shooting range and if you survive, you get a swing at "Geronimo" himself.

More than 70 people have paid so far and they are booked solid through October, proving that OBL will be getting out down on the regular for some time to come.
