SilencerCo recently made waves in the firearms industry with what it claims to be the first commercially-viable shotgun suppressor in the world. Named the Salvo 12, the modular shotgun suppressor is touted as being perfect for sportsmen in the field or even in a home protection scenario.

"Whether you grab a shotgun for hunting, shooting clays or home defense, the Salvo 12 fits most common shotguns-provided you have a choked barrel," SilencerCo states on its website.

The suppressor comes in 12-inch, 10-inch, eight-inch, and six-inch configurations and they weigh from about 18 ounces to 32 ounces. The devices are listed as being constructed from 7075 T6 aluminum and 17-4 stainless steel and sport an anodized finish. The world's first commercial suppressor doesn't come cheap, however. The Salvo 12 carries a MSRP of $1,400.

Watch the video below to see how the SilencerCo suppressor fares against clays.

Worthless video as they don't have a single full speed shot. Come on, show us a comparison, a standard shotgun next to the suppressed version! Similar mic placement and you have a comparison worthy of making a purchase over.
