If this guy takes 400-450 is that a good purchase?

If this guy takes 350 is it a good purchase? Will this 500 take the polymer stocks and forends?

    How about these?

the Mossberg is a much better deal IMO. the Winchester is way overpriced. i have the Winchester SXP Defender and only paid $279 for mine, NIB.

the Mossberg with three barrels will fill most any need you would need a shotgun for. at least $200 worth of extra barrels. and you could probably buy the Winchester new and outfit it the same as the seller way cheaper.

if it was me, i'd buy the Mossberg.

I agree. The Mossberg would probably be my choice because of the extra barrels. I have a 500 that I've owned for probably 20 years without any complaints. I also have a Win. 1300 that shoots just as well and is a quality made weapon, I bought it slightly used for $200 and that guy won't even entertain an offer of $300 lol.

Also there are many aftermarket products you can get to mod the 500 if you are so inclined.

I have a 500 combo that I bought several years ago. I paid $340 for a Mossberg 500, 24" rifled slug barrel and a 28" accuchoke barrel with 3 chokes, NIB. The 18.5 security barrel would cost $100 plus tax and shipping, NIB.

I would buy the 500 if it was in like new condition. At todays prices you can get the same setup NIB for $475. The 500 combo is $360 at walmart and the 18.5" security barrel is around $100. You might find a used barrel for less on Ebay.

I wouldn't give 50 cents for the winchester much less $500. Pistol grips ruin the accuracy of a shotgun. Winchester products are overpriced. 20 years ago Winchester pumps were one of the cheapest pumps on the market and they were better made than todays Winchester products. Not to mention a 20 ga is less than desirable for self defense.

The Winchester is the best shotgun of the group, but that guy is asking full retail for the package. He is STONED. I'd give him (maybe) $400 if, and only if, the "tactical flashlight" is a decent name brand and the shotgun is in excellent condition

the 1300 is definitely the best gun here and in my opinion the best pump.gun you can get..... but like robocop said it's over priced...I'm not a Mossberg fan but that is your best deal because of all the extras it comes with

There is a big difference in the old 1300s and the sxps though but it is still to much for that 1300
