    Removing actions from bedded stocks.

My Springfield M1A is in a factory bedded stock. Is is okay to take the action out of he stock when I clean it if I am real careful with it? I have had some folks tell me to avoid taking it out of the stock for fear of disturbing the bedding material.

blue, if it was done correctly, i don't think there should be any problem removing the action from the stock. just take your time and be gentle!

I haven't shot my M1A enough. I only took it out once this year. I am sitting on a whole bunch of very good ammo that needs to be shot. I still have some of the really good Australian and Portuguese surplus ammo plus my loads. It really is a fun gun to shoot.
