I've been thinking about getting some WWII rifles lately. The m1903 looks like a beautiful weapon, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the average price for an original, not replica rifle would cost. And would I need to reload myself or is there still some decent surplus ammo around for cheap? Any help y'all would be really appreciated

Ooh I almost forgot about the receiver hardness issue. Good input.

Thank you guys for the advice, I would have never known about those bolts. And the rifle itself, I was thinking I would have to pay a $1000 to $1300 dollars.

I'm actually waiting on word back from a guy that came by with a barrel and receiver. He either wants to have me build the gun or sell me the parts. Actually been about a week now. Kinda ridiculous.

The 1903A3 is a little less expensive. The 03A3 has better sights.:)

What has happened to the P 14s I never see any those. There used to be tons of the Enfield P 14 rifles?
