I thought since everybody is making cartridge comparison posts, I'd throw one in, too.

    - And no, I won't mention anything about the intended use etc. so as to be true to form.

    Which one is better?

There are alot of opinions. Just as long as you use them properly, hit precisely where you're aiming, and are safe, it's all good...

    Enjoy.

I will suggest something totally different and irrelevant to the original post. ;)

I attack your post as irrelevant, and then make an irrelevant suggestion of my own

I attack your corrections, as unnecessary and irrelevant, I then explain my life story as an excuse, attacking your character and suggest you be banned

A hit with a Velo Dog is better than a miss with a 458....
    It's all about shot placement.......
The Indian is more important than the arrow...
If you could shoot straight (ie, as well as I think I can), you wouldn't worry about using the Velo Dog on grizzly/elephant/buffalo.....
[insert name of species in question here] aren't armor plated........(even when they are)

    et cetera ad nauseum.....

Dont you know the 243 hasn't enough juice to kill one of those midget squirrels he shoots? (See his avatar)

You have got to think ENERGY, man! Why, I used to shoot Cape Buffalo with my .220 Swift. Dern thing was like a death ray, I tell ya!

My taxidermist got mad at me after the 10th one- said he was not going to do any more mounts for me if I kept using that .220. See, I would nick their ear (just to avoid messing up the hide) and at 4300 FPS, the hydrostatic shock dropped them like a bad habit- and liquified everything inside the hide.

THAT was what he got so upset about- said it was just WAY to messy.

But for some of y'all that can't handle a bullet that travels well North of 4K.... well, I guess SOMEODY was gonna have to buy those .460 Weatherbys.....

    Hmmmppphh! Girly man......
