While the Colt name is virtually synonymous with handguns, Sam Colt’s initial revolvers off the assembly line were longarms. That’s right. The first production model of any Colt was the No.1 Ring Lever Rifle. The carbine breech (attachable shoulder stocks for handguns) and America’s first slide action rifle were also part of Colt’s on-and-off ventures into longarms. Then in 1963 the AR-15 and M16 .223 automatic rifles “made Colt’s the small-arms sensation of modern warfare”. Their unmatched accuracy, performance and durability are available in their direct descendent, the Colt semiautomatic-only, sporting rifles. They’re ideal for hunting, plinking and competition shooting.

    Price: $0.00

Pros: Ease of use. Accuracy. Availability of after market modifications especially target barrels. Low cost of ammo. Overall price.

Cons: Don't get enough opportunitries to shoot it.

    Recommended? Yes

I just love this rifle. I can not get enough of this. You can shoot it all day and never hurt. Ammo is low cost and reloading components are even less expensive.
Anyone can master this rifle. Your wife can shoot it, your kids can shoot it, and it is a great rile to start your children on due to the lack of recoil.
