I bought one of these light-weight revolvers thinking it would be fun to shoot. I own many 44 Magnums all of which get shot a lot. The 329PD is a totally different revolver! It's made of Skandium and Titanium. This makes the 329PD the lightest 44 Magnum ever made.

At a mere 26 ounces, each shot feels like a Howitzer going off in your hand. Even 44 Specials have a substancial kick, but at least they're manageable. The idea of the 329PD was to make a full-sized high powered revolver that could be comfortably carried while back-packing, hiking, or camping. And, it is comfortable to carry, it's just not comfortable to shoot! I read somewhere that 500 Magnum grips will tame this revolver a little. They do, a little. I put those EXPENSIVE 500 Magnums grips on my 329PD expecting some recoil salvation. Nope. You can go from shooting two rounds to six rounds before your wrist screams for mercy.

I love the looks and the light-weight characteristics, and I even like shooting 44 Specials in it when plinking. But I save the 44 Magnum loads for those dire moments when Life & limb is at stake.

    Price: $800.00

Pros: Lite to carry and fun to shoot. I love mine and would carry nothing else.

Cons: It is aliitle large for CCW and not for those who worry about recoil.

    Recommended? Yes

For those that don`t mind alittle recoil it`s a great carry gun. Alittle large but ok under the arm. With it you don`t have to worry about takeing a knife to a gun fight. That said if you don`t like recoil you will not like it. There is a big difference in felt recoil between wood grips and rubber grips, and I do recomand the rubber grips. Catfish
