I will freely admit to being unreasonably prejudiced, but I would never pay money for a Benelli. Or own
another one. Or accept one as a gift. Or remain in the same room as one. If your choice is Brown...

Maybe we need to look at this a new way. What if we make it legal for gangbangers to kill other
gangbangers? So if a Crip shoots a 6 year old girl, he goes to the chair. If a Crip shoots a Blood, he g...

Rifled chokes help, but you may need to try different slug loads to find the one that works best.

For plains game in Africa, you could use either a 7mm or .338 magnum. Your PH will probably recommend
premium bullets in heavier weights. 160 gr in the 7mm or 250 gr in the .338. The African PH's I ta...

  • Posted in thread: Is it safe to reload target-grade shotgun hulls? on 03/08/2012 at 3:49PM
I have always found "target" shotshell hulls to be the BEST for reloading. I think they are more uniform
and more durable, giving more reloads per hull than field grade or economy shells.

  • Posted in thread: 1187 remington super mag on 03/08/2012 at 3:43PM
I've never had a bad experience with a Remington 11-87 or an 1100, but I haven't handled one made less
than about 6 or 7 years ago. They do need a break-in period, and they need to be kept clean and l...

  • Posted in thread: Looking for some fun shooters on 03/01/2012 at 6:53AM
The most fun gun I have ever fired was an M1 carbine. I think a Mosin is a good budget-minded choice.
    Other potentially fun guns would be:SKSAKLever action .357/.38, .44, .45Mini 14/Mini 30If money is...

What do you consider "primitive"? I'm all for primitive hunting and special seasons for such. However, as
long as there is breath in my lungs and blood in my veins, I will not concede that an in-line ...

  • Posted in thread: Guns you would never own. on 02/16/2012 at 4:35PM
Wow, don't get me started. Ok here's my list. I know alot of my opinions will run contrary to that of the
mainstream gun loving community, but I don't care. I like what I like and don't like what I do...

  • Posted in thread: Remington 870 20 gauge youth on 02/03/2012 at 8:01PM
Let me give a word of caution based on several years of helping young people learn how to shoot. Youth
model pump shotguns from companies like Remington and Winchester have a shorter stock and thus sh...
