  I apologize I must have mispoke, but right now I have the xdm 3.8 trying to put a 5.25 barrel
  on it or see if I can at least.

  Because i like the look of it with the 5.25 barrel, but would buying the recoil spring and

  I know this might be a dumb question, is there any way to swap the barrel of the xdm 9mm 5.25
  to the xdm 9mm 3.8? Or do you have to just buy the gun itself?

  Another quick question, is it bad to keep the gun cocked and open with the lock through it or
  no because a friend told me it was but then what else would the lock be for?
