Since when did criminals worry that buying ammo is illegal for them? You need a FOID just to HANDLE a box of ammo in Illinois. Never seems that the criminals don't have any ammo or guns because of that stupid law. One of the reasons I left Illinois and now live in Alabama is their stupid gun laws. Got my carry as soon as I got my Alabama driver's license.
