I grabbed a 4 pack of similar boxes from Cabela's for 20 bucks and use one to hold about 25
knives/ multitool of varying sizes.

I would argue with you there Mark. I have both an SKS and an AKM and the designs are similar
enough that field strip/maintenance is a dead tie in my book.
