From seeing other shoot the Ruger sr9 and Caracal F they both appear to have low recoil and
muzzle flip. Both have extremely low bore and sit very tight in the hand. Both of which are
    under $500 on Bu...

I'd be willing to bet that an EAA Witness (Steel, large frame) in 9 mm would be quite the
softy. It's pretty mild in .45 Also full sized steel 1911s in 9 mm are pretty mild..Polymer?
    Not sure, but I w...

Big fan of the Steyr m9. controlable recoil. More straight back than muzzle flip. I also have a
high power clone, Arcus 98DA. Tack driver, crazy tight groups. The most accurate 9mm ever has
    to be the ...

Smith & Wesson M&P line, without a doubt.Yeah, those really took the polymer world by storm. My
only gripe with those are the trigger, but in the muzzle flip department they are one of the

My experience isn't theoretical, it's from shooting said pistols. The plastic pistols seem to
soak up more recoil than my 92s to me. The 92s also seem more controllable. But this is just my
    perceptions...

The Browning Hi Power hands down!Great choice. I've never owned one, but after shooting one it
made me want to. They're such smooth operators and scary acurate!

You are getting into a certain part of physics known as impact forces. Think about a nail being
struck by a hammer. The force generated is a function of how long the hammer is in contact with
    the nail...

My understanding is a Gun's recoil is a function of the weight or mass of the gun relative to
the mass times velocity of the projectile leaving the barrel. In other words, the heavier the
    gun, the LES...

Wanted to narrow down the pistols you all thought was the softest shooting or had the least
flip. Now I know there are a lot of external factors that come into play when shooting (like
    grip and the Amm...

Great bullpup! I love bull pups. What kind of rail do you have on your gas tube? I need one for
my bullpup conversion as well. Here is a picture of my Saiga. The stock was originally designed
    for a Sa...
