I think I can shed some light on this....All of my guns and ammo went through a house fire. My
wife's LCP was even on fire and melted the handle. NONE of them went off!!! None in the
    chambers, none in...

It's getting better around here too.....LGS usually has something in about every caliber
(except .22) and Walmart even had .45 and 6 BOXES of .380 federal premium JHP the other day.
    The guy working th...

I plan on buying my wife and perhaps myself, a GURU faux zipper top pocket holster. They look
top notch! I think their site is pocketholsters.com

My wife purse carried a Taurus 85 .38 for a while, then after a few weeks of persistence and
her reading a couple articles about bad situations.....I talked her into body carry BUT we had
    to compromis...

Yea, Taurus claims to have a no questions asked warranty no matter how many owners the gun
travels through. I understand them not wanting to replace it because of a house fire BUT I
    thought the same a...

With a GLOCK you can swap out the barrels. The bigger you buy the more options you have. I've
seen 1911's in .40 and in 9mm but they're hard to find. Don't forget about Kahr pistols....I
    love my CM9

Buds guns has GLOCK 27's listed as $575-580 for a gen 3 and G4's are $620ish I think? But
finding one is more difficult. Buds had G3 27's in stock for about 3 days and I almost bought
    one and didn't.....

A revolver is about as reliable as they come. I really like my Taurus 85. That being said I've
looked into about every pistol to be had for a CCW gun and now own a Kahr CM9 (also available
    in .40) Hou...

    I've had a Taurus 85, Taurus PT-99, KelTec PF-9, Ruger LCP (wifey's) and a Kahr CM9.....my
favorite by far to carry was the PF-9, didn't even know it was there. BUT it was a piece of
    crap, shot like c...

  • Posted in thread: What do your wives (or significant others) carry? on 04-25-2013 at 03:15 PM
My wife started with a snub .38 5-shot revolver (Taurus 85) and absolutely loved it. She was
very accurate with it. Then we both decided that purse carry wasn't ideal for many reasons.
    Mainly because ...
