Check out Pawn Shops and the used gun section of the LGS. Best buys are used guns. Just check
    them out good before buying.

I have one SW686. If I trim the cylinder to receive moon clips, the 38spl cartridges don't get
full support. So modifying for moon clips requires always using moon clips. But moon clips are
    not allowe...

To the OP, hit as many pawn shops and used gun stores as possible. Look for real name brands. I
know with the market the way it is, that it is difficult to find deals, but they are out there.
    Another ...

  • Posted in thread: Why did Colt stop making DA revolvers? on 03-08-2014 at 01:51 AM
Also, Colt suffered a union STRIKE that was devastating to their production line. They were
shipping PYTHONS without RIFLING in the barrel! I know because I almost bought one, brand new
    in the box. Go...

  • Posted in thread: opinion on purchasing used gun at pawn shop on 02-20-2014 at 10:14 PM
I personally have bought hundreds of guns from pawn shops. I got a nice O/U Beretta 12 Ga. for
$400 and $200 for my SP101. Two weeks ago I picked up a 45/70 Marlin for $400. So if you know
    what you ar...

For my 10th Bday, My Dad gave me a Marlin/Glenfield 60 that I gave to one of my nephews 2 years
ago. Later that year I saved up for and bought a 3 screw Super BlackHawk.

    I will assume that you mean a smith model 18 .22 or basically a 4" model 17. I also have an 18,
wonderfully accurate and a joy to shoot. That being said, not many extra parts just sitting out
    there fo...

I'd say save the extra cash for the best rifle you can. A CZ in .22 or a Sako. I also say that
scavenging the pawn shops or gun shops for used rifles is the best way to maximize your money.
    GOOD LUCK!...

I would suggest staying within the bounds of FREE AMERICA and not entering communist controlled
hinterlands. The KGB of either place will imprison you for even thinking free thoughts.

I think the one gun for EVERYTHING would be a 3" GP100 with the small grips. The internals will
run a LONG time, it conceals well, it is light enough that packing is not a burden and it packs
    quite a ...
