    I, too love my hi-point. But the magazines can be real crappy. I had a similar problem, and jsut bought
    two new magazines. That seems to have fixed the problem.

    Taurus makes good guns for the most part. Their guarantee is simply awesome.Their customer service can be
    spotty...but overall I am very pleased with my Taurus'...and I own several.
