I agree with Txnorton and eaglenestor ~ Sixty plus shots is not unreasonable on a quality tuned lock. You
may have to shape the edge some, but that's a part of it. I've had the best luck with the dark...

  • Posted in thread: Thinking about a mosin? on 04/03/2011 at 8:41PM
About eight years ago a friend offered me a Mosin Nagant Carbine for $60. He had bought five of them at
that price. I said sure ~ next day he brought me an unissued 1944 model. I gave it a good cleani...

These were made by Army San Marco. Colt stampings - wrong caliber, They are .44 instead of the correct
.36 for the Navy Model. Note the rebated cylinders.

They are out there - Dixie Gun Works got a shipment in back in the 80s that were marked that way. I
bought an Italian 1860 Army and a Walker that had the Colt address on the top of the barrel from the...

  • Posted in thread: Colt Police Positive .38 (pics) on 01/01/2009 at 6:45PM
That would be a .38 Colt, not .38 S&W. Both calibres of ammunition are available at
    Midway.www.midwayusa.com

  • Posted in thread: .44 colt black powder pistol on 09/21/2008 at 7:31PM
The 1860 Army, 1851 and 1861 Navies all had the Naval Battle Scene. Correct date - battle was between the
Texas and Mexican Navies. What you can look for in further identification is calibre. The 44 w...
