    I've had an 870 for years, still do, but now carry my 887 daily on warrants and in other
    tactical situations. This scattergun has yet to fail me on the range or the street.

    No, I thought about it but opted to keep the original long forend, as it conceals and protects
    the slide action. Passed the forend on to a co-worker who bought the Blackhawk (-the forend)
    for his 870.
