I mounted a Nikon scope onto my .223 and the objective lens is about 1/16th of an inch above

For your Tapco mount/handguard mount those rails are pretty universal. There are some rails out
there that are different from the masses but it seems that most are found on handguns. Hope

Thanks for the quick info. I think I did have the safety on, but its certainly worth a check. I
will try it again tonight and see if I can't get it to fit with a rubber mallet or something.
