The straight bolt is still considered a bolt action whereas the lever action is exactly that a
"lever-action" so in all fairness the K-31 is still in the bolt action classThe lever action
has a "bolt"...

What about a K31?? The straight-bolt has to be quicker than a turn-bolt..If your going to talk
that kind of craziness then why not mention the lever action which is faster than most manual

The round will do the trick, but will the rifle??Say you shoot a 6" group at 100 yards, and
maybe you misjudge the distance to the deer, so you shoot high...that extra 6" just might carry
the shot ove...

look into the Marlin XS7 in 243. very nice, well built rifle. pillar bedded stock, adjustable
