  I've got a aimpoint comp ml3 on mine and its excellent, zero complaints. If you want to shoot
  farther than you can with a aimpoint, you should be lookin for a larger caliber rifle.

  I have a 243 and a 308, both are good rounds. I shoot the 308 9 times out of ten. Much better
  barrel life also. In that price range I would hit the pawn shops looking for a used remington
  700.

  Honestly Terry, the ACOG is a nice set of optics, but the reticle can get a little confusing
