Thanks for the tip. I have a 9mm plate and will see if it works for .40 as good or better than
the .38/.357 plate the next time I gear up for a batch of 9mm. I never thought to try the 9mm
    plate.

I assume from your experience that the Pro-7 plates, perhaps only after being modified with the
detent depressions, work on the more modern LNL press. My problem was the reverse: trying to
    use a L-N-L...

I carry a Kahr 9mm model CMP in a pocket holster. The trigger is smooth and it's comfortable to
shoot. It can be a bit of a struggle to rack, especially before the first 500 rounds. My other
    handguns ...

Yes, I did discuss this with Hornady on the telephone and was told in no uncertain terms that
the newer shell plates (Lock-N-Load, etc.) would not work on my old Pro-7. The tech explained
    why but I do...

The original Hornady progressive reloading press, the Pro-7, predated the introduction of the
.40 cal bullet. Therefore, no shell plates exist for this press for reloading .40/10mm
    cartridges and the ...

I had the best luck with Crimson Trace. Lasermax was a disappointment -- wouldn't stay on
consistently and batteries wore out fast.

Y'all may already know this already, but I found out the hard way. The paperwork that comes
with Crimson Trace laser sights informs the user which way (clockwise versus counterclockwise)

I own a Taurus .44 mag and a PT-99 (older pre-lock model with rosewood grips). Both function
very well. Incidentally, unlike the S&W 629 that I used to own, you can fire full magnum loads
    one-handed b...
