  I love the Hornady XTPs for deer. For Elk, bear or hogs, I recommend the Sierra 300 gr. JSP. But only if

  You can also have a smith do a cast of your chamber. That way you have a permanent reference piece to
  measure and look at. It will also tell you your throat length. Just a thought.
