I know from experience, kids can and WILL find your guns! When I was about 10, my best friend
and his older brother found dad's S&W revolver, probably a Model 10. We went over to an empty
    lot and shot...

My 380 DAO back up was horrible. It did fire almost every time, when clean and loaded with oil.
The main issue was the insanely high trigger pull. I had a truly strong grip back then, and
    after 6 shot...

  • Posted in thread: DA/SA... What's not to love? on 12-16-2012 at 08:05 AM
I don't know if it's because I dislike the grip shape on a 1911 so much I have rarely shot one,
or just because almost all the guns I've ever owned have been conventional DA/SA, but I never
    had a prob...

  • Posted in thread: What is Overall Opinion of Walther 380 (new) on 11-27-2010 at 08:11 AM
Might want to check out a Beretta 84Fs and a Browning BDA .380. I have and love both. Just my
.02I agree, they are great guns, the top of the .380 heap, IMO. A much better gun than the
    Walther. Used o...

I didn't like my HP much at all. It was reliable, but I didn't like the grip much. I sold it
off pretty quickly. I never missed it. I really like my 92FS a lot.

  • Posted in thread: Buying Handguns at Online Websites - Advantages & Disadvantages on 11-09-2010 at 01:43 AM
I had a chance to talk to the local gun shop about buying military surplus rifles. They said
they don't transfer on new guns. Period. For used ones, they charge $75 for the transfer.
    That's ridiculous...

  • Posted in thread: What do you guys think of the Beretta 92? on 10-21-2010 at 06:06 AM
I've wanted one since I first shot one, back in late '76 or so. One of the guys that shot at
the same range I did brought one back from Italy. I somehow managed to keep missing out on a
    bunch of great...

  • Posted in thread: You'll shoot your eye out!! on 10-17-2010 at 08:36 AM
I burned my eyelid a couple of times shooting over the years and one time cooked my eyebrow,
burning the hair off the right one to the point I had to trim both of them way down to make
    everything "eve...

I carried a 6" Dan Wesson Model 15-2 8 hours a day, for years without a thought about it being
"too heavy". I had cuffs, a speedloader with 6 rounds, (Until it broke when I fell on it), a
    sap, and big...
