We've already explained this and I retracted my statement...but preference for me is that the .50 Cal
Sniper Rifles are useless...at least for me....far to much recoil....rounds are to expensive...and...Posted in thread: Can .50 Cal bullets travel 5 miles? on 11/30/2008 at 1:15AM
Well a ban on .50 I wouldn't really dislike...I mean for civilian use it's basically useless and to damn
dangerous as a gun. Condoning the banning of any gun could leave you with nothing more than a s...Posted in thread: Loading a 243 semi automatic on 10/26/2008 at 9:11AM
Load one round in the clip and cycle the action by hand which will load the rifle by putting that one
round in the chamber. Remove the clip from the gun and load it with the four rounds. Obviously mak...Posted in thread: .45 LC Loads on 10/24/2008 at 1:19AM
4227 in my opinion never was a good powder for a revolver because it will always cause the problem you
are having. My experience with it is that it works much better in a Thompson Contender or bolt ac...Posted in thread: How does this happen? on 10/24/2008 at 12:54AM

As general rule a faster twist is needed to stabilize a heavy bullet and for no better choice of words
the term I have heard used is that a faster twist "over stabilizes" the lighter bullet making it ...Posted in thread: Is the 5.7 FN a good defensive round and pistol? on 10/22/2008 at 3:01PM
AP 5.7 ammo is restricted to LE/Military. You would be hard pressed to find a non-expanding bullet on the
open market. Most of the ammo that is civi legal is HP or Ballistic tip type. Over penetration...Posted in thread: My 270 Savage has a pitted barrel :/ on 10/22/2008 at 2:29AM
Yeah, I would suggest using a round, dummy or not, to set head space. That is how any hack would do it in
their garage after a few beers...Seriously, head space is set with a head space GUAGE because ...Posted in thread: Is the 5.7 FN a good defensive round and pistol? on 10/19/2008 at 4:05PM
Not really. It's a high velocity, small diameter bullet.I think the folks at FN would argue with Mark's
statement considering it shoots the same diameter bullet as the M 16 and works on the same princ...
