Another vote for Benchmade. I like Griptilians, but the 710 is also an excellent choice. You
may want to check out the Spyderco Endura, another classic. Not quite as sturdy as the
    Benchmades, but thin...

Have you tried it with linen belts and abrasive compounds like diamond of CBN? (cubic boron
nitride)No, just trying to keep it simple these days. I take it that works well?

I worked in a pastrami shop when I was a kid. We sharpened all our knives on the back step. I

If you're really looking for something both useable and worth passing on, this is where I'd go

As weapon just proved, you can get a decent knife for cheap if you pay attention and learn a
little bit about them. I understand "cheap chic" but when it comes to knives I like to feel I
    can depend on...

I wouldn't suggest the Sharpmaker (yes, I have one) unless all you plan on needing is touch-ups

This is the EOTech model that takes 2 AA batteries. For those not familiar with this sight it
features a 1 moa dot surrounded by a 65 moa circle, with adjustable brightness. This makes it
    quick and ea...

Thanks AT, Raddlock looks interesting- you did notice that it specifies that it's not DOJ
approved, right? It looks like it would be pretty obvious when it's installed. The installation
    instructions w...

Thanks guys! JonM  Yes, sadly I do live in the PRK, but I've actually never seen a
pinned stock. I have seen fixed magazines (you have to open your AR to load it!) and don't know
    why anyone wo...

At this point I'm more concerned with learning what I don't know. I'm in CA, so I can't even
pick up the rifle until next week. I've read numerous people saying the stock sucks, but none
    of them say w...
