Might be OK if you had a slide fire. Ares armor uppers are piston and not DI, so it might work
    OK with that combination.

OK. skimmed the entire topic.About steel ammo...I own a Stag 6 and have built another upper
using a Stag Model 3 barrel, bought direct from Stag. There is also a CMMG 16 Bull WASP upper

Colt's a really good entry level AR, and for the price they have been going for lately, a
really good buy at the $700-$900 range. I personally prefer to build my own to suit, but if
    you're going to bu...

    Bolt Carrier...

If you're going with iron sights, I'd say freefloat rails are the way to go. Going under the
assumption that you're installing the barrel yourself, there is a tiny amount of play when you
    slide the ba...

I suggest you deal with your wife's felony first if you want a home based FFL. Another option
is a flea market. Keeps ATF away from your residence, and a relatively low overhead.

A fire control group should last hundreds of thousands of rounds on semi-auto. This is the
first time I have heard of a failure of a fire control part. ( I did have a lower receiver that
    had one of th...
