If none of that works, have the hammer main spring replaced. Next would possibly be a new lock.
Before that, take some emery paper and take some off of the nipple all the the way around.Good

Maineman,Check out:1. Are you using the correct caps? there are different sizes. generally, one
can but size 10 (10.5) which are used on revolvers usually. These woud fit very snug on a rifle
