I'm also very close to Corning, N.Y. in fact I work in Painted Post. It takes me about 25
minutes to drive there. If you go by phyiscal border, I'm with in about 2 miles from the

On my 1895 in 30-40 I have a Lyman Model 21 ladder aperture sight which I believe is correct

I had one and won't own another. The stock just felt too cheap to me. It took me quite awhile
to find an accurate load for it. People talk of out of box accuratice while this maybe true of

Pa. also allows a 22 centerfire for deer. Personally I prefer something quite a bit heavier. I
don't even like the .243 for deer. I know quite a few people use it with great success but with
