The Bartlesville Sportsman's Club has bench rest, pistol, rifle and skeet ranges. I was a
member in the 70s but have not been there in a long time. Nice facility. Located on Price Road
west of Hwy 75....

Finally made it out to the range. Got some really good groups. I'll narrow it down and get out
the chronograph to see what I'm getting.

I think I'm going to have to experiment. My Sierra manual has loads for the 150 bullet using
the H-380 with 2800 FPS. I'm hoping the weather allows me to get to the range and chrono some
loads and see...

I'm not looking to exceed recommended max loads. It just seems like since the 280 is in between
the 270 and '06 and both of those have loads that are 3k FPS or better the 280 should have the

Thanks Mo shooter. I have several loads worked up and I am anxious to try them out. I'll try

Looking for loads for a 280 Remington. Seems to me like I should be able to load it with as
much Hodgdon H-380 as my 30-06 with a 150 Sierra BTSP. However the data from Hodgdon shows 59
grains of H-38...

Very nice. The fore end of the stock reminds me of the Winchester Model 70 Featherweight stock.
