Virginia is an open carry state. I do have my CCP. I only open carry around the house
topically. I do OC to stores and such but I mostly CC. In a big crowd you don't want people
    know you have a gun.

Do some actual penetration testing yourself. While a 380 is less potent I've seen them get
plenty of penetration. Test different ammo. A 380 in a pocket gun is meant for like ten feet.

Oh I have 2 year old. I keep my mini vault right on my night stand. The battery does die kinda
fast tho. You will know when it needs changing when you have to put the code in twice.

You have to look at the mini vaults. They come in lots of sizes and some are bio and others
keypad. I got one and like it. It keeps my kid out of it and I can open it in under 2 seconds.

My first handgun was an M&P 40. Maybe I got an ok trigger but like it just fine. But I just got
a Ruger 1911 and that is a sweet shooter. I hear though the apex trigger makes a difference.
