I agree, that is why I am leaning towards fixed power.Perhaps on my 30 Bellm that I can use for
deer in IL I may opt for a variable as this caliber is accurate out to 150 yards.

If you are not familiar with these they are on par with Leupold and others. Very high quality,
first focal plane scopes.
