My Wickliffe is a 22-250 with exhibition wood and gold inlay. I have several Browning B78's and a slew of
Ruger No. 1's in virtually every caliber offered. I love the single shot, side by side & o/u s...Posted in thread: cafsman on 03/15/2010 at 9:15PM
Not sure I can add much to the forums here but for what it is worth my collection back ground is in Ruger
No. 1 rifles, if you call it collecting. I am more of an accumulator but do have over 100 that...Posted in thread: Opinions on the Para Ordnance on 03/14/2010 at 7:47PM
I'll report back when weather breaks and I get a chance to take it out. May be a few weeks as I have some
trainings to do and have to load some shells. Thanks to all that have expressed their opinions.Posted in thread: shortened stock for M77/22 on 03/14/2010 at 12:49PM
I did try that as well as about a half dozen other sources. Too many $$$$ to justify cutting up. I have
been watching eBay and hope on one of the forums I will find someone that beat one up. Looks are...Posted in thread: Contender scope on 03/14/2010 at 12:47PM
I don't know if I would need all that power and doubt I could get a clear sight picture at high
magnification unless shooting from a rest. I do have some Burris scopes with posi lock and like them.Posted in thread: Single shot enthusiast? on 03/14/2010 at 12:45PM
They are very nice as well. Do not own one but have looked at several. I do have a Wickliffe as well that
has AAAAA wood on it.Posted in thread: Contender scope on 03/13/2010 at 8:18PM
I have been on the forum for over a year and had done this once but just did it again. Thanks for the
reminder.Posted in thread: cafsman on 03/13/2010 at 8:17PM
I am a retired fire chief now living in a small IL community. I love to hunt, fish, and collect Ruger No.
1 rifles. My grandson of seven is my wing man and will be the recipient of my collection.Posted in thread: Contender scope on 03/13/2010 at 7:58PM
I agree, that is why I am leaning towards fixed power.Perhaps on my 30 Bellm that I can use for deer in
IL I may opt for a variable as this caliber is accurate out to 150 yards.Posted in thread: Simmons Gold Medal Scopes on 03/13/2010 at 7:45PM
If you are not familiar with these they are on par with Leupold and others. Very high quality, first
focal plane scopes.
My opportunity to take the buck of my life now presented itself, I was as nervous as a small nun at a penguin shoot.
