    My choice as well. 7 rounds of 9mm in a top quality gun that's very small. And the metal
    construction absorbs recoil better than the plastics mentioned. And for the 1911 fan, the
    ability to carry cock...

    Yes the gun is rough but, John Moses Browning did not design paper weights.Inside the rails
    look good in the slide and frame.Replaced all springs and barrel, put a few rounds thru it then
    broke it dow...

    Got my first 1911 3 years ago, a SA Loaded. I'm 71 now and I own 3 more (2 Kimbers and an RIA)
    plus a Sig P938 (my EDC) that's basically a small 1911 but without a grip safety.
