No mesmeric, I have not tried this method and had not heard about it before. Because of my

I think you are right Hookeye. From all information I was able to gather it is my understanding
that this problem is unusual and that the Ruger handguns have a reputation of being very strong

Yes, I think you are right SSGN-Doc. If it happens again I will be be speaking with the people
at Ruger about a total replacement. I don't know what else I can do.

I have tried different methods of removing lead from barrels and I would suggest the Kroil
method. I know it works well without damaging the metal or bluing.

I have the Beretta 92L which is also a compact version of the 92 and it is a great shooter. It
looks just like the full-size 92 but about 1/2" shorter in barrel and grip length.
