I've had several springfields and been happy with all. The latest is a Mil-Spec.They have a
custom shop, too. I got a wild hair and sent the gun in to polish and blue the flat surfaces.

LOTS of M1 Thumb in military high school/ROTC. The armorer ( a student) also figured removal of
that little pin in the magazine well that allows all the guts to fly out when the slide is
