But the op wants to shoot steel, not people through heavy coats or car doors...45 will knock
the sh** out of a plate. Yea, the 1911 can be finicky, but find a good ammo and you are good.

I've owned a PF9 for about 5 years and only had an issue on my last trip out...I've got about
700 round through mine and the extractor spring loosened up on me this last trip to the range.
