  I've shot a lot of .243 and 30/06 ammo. The '06 is the best all around but for deer and
  varmints the .243 wins. Flatter shooting, safer, cheaper to load, and a lot less recoil.

  Sometimes I wonder where local dealers come up their suppliers and why, since they are so much
