    actually get to the end of the magazine tube, but just doesn't get released into the loading

    The Kimbers are nice, but pricey. My son just got one and it's smaller than my Colt Officers
    SS. It does shoot nice, though. He's put only about 600 rounds through it so far, but nary a
    hiccup.
