If you are going to keep the shotgun why not replace the stock and have a great looking stock
instead of fooling around with all the other? Possibly none of the other ideas will totally
solve the prob...

I have a friends shotgun, according to the articles I have found this model (583.17) is unsafe
to shoot because of the bolt. The bolt comes out when the gun is fired. Don't know if this is
true or not...

I was told by a gun guru that magnum primers burn hotter than nonmagnum so be carefull and as
stated earlier check your load data very carefully. The pressure could be devastating.

I Have a friend who has had some 30-06 ammo reloaded by two different people and the bullets
won't work. He states that the bolt will not close all the way, it lacks about 1/8". I think
