  If you look in the Gunsmith section, There is a sticky. One of the members will fix your 10-22 trigger

  The reason you shouldn't shoot .40 cal in your 10mm is because the .40 cartridge will be held by your
  extractor instead of being seated in the chamber. The extractor will probably break.
