Bolt action - no way - lever action, there are many options :) but I'd probably go with a
    Marlin 1894.

My latest AR is polymer - it is good, no problems so far - but until I've had it for 6 or 7
years, I'm not ready to say it is just as good as aluminum.

  • Posted in thread: Remington 597 on 09-18-2013 at 12:59 PM
We have a Remington 597 and it has been great for a few thousand rounds at this point. I bought
it because at the time I couldn't find any Marlins and I was afraid that the 10/22 would always
    be a wor...

Too many people that wouldn't otherwise open carry strap on their pistol or toss an AR-15 over
their shoulder and make a special trip to Starbucks, then make a big deal about it. I saw some
    dumbasses ...

  • Posted in thread: Do you prefer an ak or an sks? on 09-17-2013 at 03:29 AM
I own neither, but a Russian buddy of mine owns a few of each (I'm assuming you mean AK-47, but

    oddly enough,...

Interesting. By this time after the Sandy Hook shooting, we had a lot of details about the
Bushmaster AR-15, even the caliber, also that he had a Glock and a Sig handguns, I think they
    were confused a...

A lot of the tacticool 22's aren't that great out of the box.Best to start with a good Ruger
10/22, for the money you want to spend, you can get two and have different setups.

  • Posted in thread: Just got a FNX-9 on 09-08-2013 at 06:01 PM
Nice. I really like the looks of the FNX-9 and was told it is an evolution of the Hi-Power,
which I'm not sure is true.Fired the DAO FNS-40 and wasn't super impressed. I felt like it
    would be better a...

My wife has the FNX-9 and I have the FNX-45 - I'm still getting used to the FNX I've had the
Glock 21 since 1999, but I liked my wife's so much that I decided to change too. With the 9 I
    do have the o...
