No extended thumb safety on the R1. It's just a tight squeeze when closing the thumb break, and eventually it works the safety back down. I'd post pics but I'm at work right now.

Another vote for the CZ 75. I don't have one but have been looking for a great range/car pistol and I think the CZ fits the bill. An inexpensive and very well made handgun.

We'll have to agree to disagree then ;) It's pretty hard to see someone flinching while they're shooting a 357 (as long as it's a mild flinch) until they get to that empty chamber.

Check out Remora holsters. They don't use clips so you need to wear pants that actually fit or wear a belt. I carry my P938 in one daily and it's really comfortable.
