consider Butler Creek

They sell a 25 round "Steel Lips" with a constant tension roller spring instead of the compression spring. I've never had a problem with them.;)

I wear reading glasses, but not when I shoot. At 47, my rear sights are getting a bit blurry. What's a good, inexpensive (no more than $75) adjustable scope for my 10/22?
