Why is it that when you're watching the movies, the VAST majority of handguns are 1911's.

Example - Pulp fiction, travolta and jackson both carried 'em.
Just watching james bond on tv and the bad...

Where I'm leaning in terms of my CCW gun

Looking at the options that I have, my .357 / 5 inch barrel is a nice gun - a great investment, fun to show off at the range, but a real battle ax.

I have been looking at semi autos and have...

Czech CZ-82 - Any good/Fun???

J&G seems to have good prices on these guns - $180 with a holster.

They claim it is C&R eligible.

Wondering if it:
1) Is reliable/jam resistent
2) Takes down easy

What I like about it,...

Why 30-30?

Why get a 30-30?

I can think of so many other caliber rifles I would look at.

The 30-30 ammo is essentially a handgun round. Slow, not much stopping power.

If you ever want to do something...

Rice and flour

I would think you'd want to lay in some flour. From a space standpoint, it is dense. You can get a whole lot servings from one 50 pound bag. With it you can make bread, crackers, any number of...

Would you carry a revolver?

Having a debate a work about 6 rounds not being enough.

I say, if you need more than 6 rounds, you have bigger problems than a .357 with a speed loader can help you with.

The other guys say 11...

Took it over to the 100 yard lane for a challenge. Now mind you, I...

I ordered a rifle break and a new sling...
