If you bought a s&w mp40, you could get a 9mm barrel for it and s couple of 9mm mags and have both. BUT you can't put a 40cal barrel in the 9mm pistol. Only the 40 pistol

The 9c is 1.2" wide. If you needed the large backstrap it does "bulge" it out a little. Noticed it on mine when I was playin around with my backstraps.

Yes sir I agree with the supply problem. But there doesn't seem to be any issues with the 9 mm. The .40 sheild has had some magazine drop problems and FTF I think tho
