Yeah the stocks could be better but there's rubber where your hands are so they're pretty manageable. At less than $400 tax and all its a pretty good deal.

30-06

I have many rifles and have taken game with many calibers. All in all, the 30-06 would be hard to beat, and the ammo is far cheaper than anything that says "magnum". Price a Weatherby Vanguard in...

When I finally got my R-25 back from the factory it was "right". It now shoots very accurately with no misfeeds. They didn't say what they did to it, but it was free warranty work and it is now...

I've got a buddy who has a Nikon Buckmaster on his remington 223. I've shot it many times. The scope is very clear and very accurate. I have not tested it in low light conditions but I would bet...

weatherby vanguard 223

I bought a weatherby vanguard .223 about a month ago. It wouldn't group 55 grain bullets very well. I went to 40 grain bullets and its awesome. So if you're going to need heavier bullets to...

You were right. I tried some cheap Fiocchi 40 grain vmax bullets and was making the same hole bigger at 100 yards with the Weatherby. We're getting there.

I bought an r-25 in .308 in 2010. Experimented with several different rounds, magazines, and scopes/mounts. The DPMS magazines fed the best, but still had multiple misfeeds with all cartridges. To...

Hey JTJ, thanks for the response on the Weatherby .223. The weather hasn't permitted a good shooting day yet but I'm anxious to try the lighter grain bullets. Had another question: I also have a...

Be careful with the higher zoom scopes, 6x...or 8x... You won't be able to zoom down low enough for a 50 yard shot in the timber, trust me. They are for long range shooting ONLY.
