You can also check out surplus ammo and arms. Aero makes their recievers and you can usually get them a little cheaper. Built two rifles now with Aero receivers and fit and finish is very good.

I use citri-strip as the fumes are not harmful...

I use citri-strip as the fumes are not harmful and it works very well. I use tung oil for finish. It is more work but worth the satisfaction of an old school finish.
