Pin punches that small usually bend then break, find a 1/16" nail set punch, start the pin with the nail set and finish up with a pin punch. Hammer size does matter, if the hammer you are using...

The pin is held in by the ejector port cover. Item #15 on schematics, usually made of plastic. When you slide the bolt back into the receiver the port cover slides in with the bolt and it moves back...

The barrel is thread into the receiver and it is tighten tight. I tried a barrel vise and made a special wrench for the receiver. I could not get it to budge. I quit before I twisted the receiver....

If you are asking what keeps the pin from falling out it is the Ejector Port Cover, usually made out of plastic.
