Thanks to the Single Action shooting enthusiasts on another forum, I have an answer. The mag appears to come from an early model Beretta 92, which had the mag release at the bottom of the grip.

I've somehow come into possession of a Beretta magazine that I cannot identify. I'm truly not sure where it came from.

It has "PB CAL. 9 PARA MADE IN ITALY" on the side, and it is nearly identical...
