I have a couple, top is WASR 22 and bottom is AKT-98. Both are Romy/Cugir but the AKT was the first, introduced back in 04 (IIRC).

In my experiences, a clean barrel is the only way to go. Granted I lube the barrel after cleaning but I remove any excess with a patch, a light coating is all that is needed. Accuracy can be effected...
